I've spent the last 15 years working in television and advertising, writing all kinds of stuff – commercial scripts, ad copy, branded content, blogs, director's treatments, words for on-camera talent, vo scripts, and more. I punch-up, proof, and polish. I consult, creative develop, and start from the blank page.
Pretty much – it’s my job to make shit taste like ice cream.
I started out at NFL Films, where I had my boyhood hero for a boss – the great Steve Sabol. Then I headed west to pursue an MFA in screenwriting at the AFI Conservatory, while working seasonally as a copy editor for the NFL Network. Fourteen football seasons later, I’ve written for many Emmy-nominated shows and on-camera personalities, and branched out to work with other networks, such as CBS, ESPN, and MTV.
In 2010, I stepped into world of advertising. Since then I’ve worked with numerous agencies and production companies on commercial content and creative copy, and I've written 661 commercial and music video treatments for a long list of Lionized directors.
I'm a Transcendental Meditator, I co-own a vintage store with my wife, and I have a serious problem with people who don't wring out sponges.
